Scoring weights
Decide what matters most for this job, and re-rank instantly.
The overall score is built from criteria. The weight of each criterion is how much it counts.
| Criterion | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Technical skills | How many of the job's skills the CV shows, weighted by priority |
| Relevant experience | Years in roles that used the job's skills, against the minimum |
| Projects & proof of work | Real projects, what they used, and links such as GitHub |
| Problem solving | Evidence of solving and improving things, with results |
| Education | Level and field against the requirement |
| Communication | Client-facing work, presentations, training and writing |
| Certifications | Required and recent certifications |
| Leadership, Industry experience, Job stability | Off by default — give them weight when they matter |
Company weights and job weights
Your hiring profile sets the default weights. Open a job's ⋯ → Scoring settings to change them for that job only — a senior role might weigh leadership, a graduate role might weigh education.
Weights do not have to add up to 100; HireMind scales them for you.
Re-ranking costs nothing
Changing weights or thresholds recalculates every score from what was already read. No CV is read again and no credits are used, so try different mixes freely. The preview shows who would move up or down before you save.
Thresholds
- Shortlist threshold (default 80) — scores at or above it are labelled Strong match.
- Review threshold (default 55) — scores below it are labelled Weak match.
Labels help you read the list faster. They never move a candidate anywhere.
